Obtained his PhD degree from Ecole Centrale de Lyon, France. Worked at a number of universities and joined Sultan Qaboos University in 1998 where he served as Head of Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (2002-2007), Director of communication and information research center (2009-2017) and then Dean of College of Engineering (2017-2020). In addition to his teaching and research activities, he is managing the strategic project "Cooperation and Partnerships with Educational Institutions and National and International Organizations” that is part of Sultan Qaboos University’s Long-Term Strategic Plan 2016-2040. He published over 145 publications and edited several books and conference proceedings in addition to supervision of BEng projects, MSc and PhDs. |
